Vegetables for Egg Omelette Recipe

Hi! This is Matt on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to learn how to make my Brooklyn Omelet. Now let's prepare our vegetables. Make sure you wash your vegetables thoroughly when you get them home. Just think when you go to the supermarket and all the vegetables are piled on top of each other and everybody just touching them and handling them. You definitely want to wash them thoroughly when you get your vegetables home. Just wash these, give them a good once over. Okay now we are ready to cut them. First we are going to cut our red pepper. See the stalk here; let's take the knife and cut around it like so and then we can pull the stalk out like this. Make sure you have a plate that is just a waste place because there is going to be stuff especially in the pepper, the inside that you are not going to need the seeds and we will rewash them anyway to get the seeds out. Just kind of slice down the middle. Now these pieces are big and we want to make them smaller. We want to get out the insides like this and we are not going to be using this and put them on the waste plate; there's a lot of waste here. Then just chop, dice finally really small. This is what we will use in our omelet. Just grab a bunch again and give them the once over, one more time. Then we will take that and put that in our bowl.
