Thank You Notes & Business Etiquette
I am Elena Brouwer, International Etiquette Center in Hollywood, Florida. You can find us on the web at etiquettecenter.com and to continue with our business etiquette. There is one thing that we must remember to do after we have met with people for an interview or because they have asked us out for lunch or dinner; let’s observe. Dear Mr. Smith, Thank you very much for your time at the job interview this morning. It was a pleasure talking to you. The thank you note shows that you care, that you have good business manners and sometimes it could make the difference between getting that job and not because people do remember thank you notes. It is very important but please send your thank you notes within 48 hours after the event or meeting because waiting two weeks is a little bit too late. It is fresh on your mind, you know what it is that you did, you can mention something about it and when that person gets it, it is a big plus for you.
