Today I will be talking about how to play a E major scale on the flute. I will talk about what a major scale is a group of 7 different pitches from the 12 pitches found in even temperament in western music put together in a pattern. I will discuss what the notes in the E major scale are specifically that fit into the major scale pattern. I will show you how to play each of the notes on the flute. I will talk about different chords that come out of the E major scale. I will play 2 octaves of the major scale and I will play around in the key of E major so you are familiar with the sound of E major and how to play through it on the flute. Here is what you would sound like playing E major after this lesson.
