The 6th note in the F major scale is D. Let's look at D on the staff. On the flute this D is fingered with the 2nd, 3rd, and thumb fingers in the left hand. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd fingers in the right hand no pinkie. Let's hear D. Let's review how to play the fingers on the flute we have 2,3 thumb in the left hand and we have 1,2,3 in the right hand. Starting from the beginning of our scale we have F to G whole step. G to A whole step. A to B flat half step. B flat to C whole step. Then C to D our last note we just talked about another whole step. Let's listen. Is D the 6th note.
