Proper Greetings & Business Etiquette
I am Elena Brouwer, International Etiquette Center in Hollywood, Florida. You can find us on the web at etiquettecenter.com. In the past segments we were showing you how people were doing the wrong things at the office. Now lets observe when they are going to do it right. A: Hi! Bill Smith. B: Good morning. Susie Jones. Nice to meet you. A: Nice to meet you Susie. Did you notice? He came from behind the desk to shake hands. They had a smile on their faces because they are happy to be meeting each other and the handshake was proper. It was web to web. They said the first and last name, which is always important. You must say your full name when you are being introduced or introducing yourself to somebody else. That is the way business is done when you do it properly.
