The first note in the D flat major scale is D flat. This note is also referred to as pentatonic or the root of the scale since it is the first one. Let's look at in the staff. To play this on the flute let's look at the fingers we have the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and thumb for the left hand. In the right hand we have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and lower pinkie key. This is how it sounds. Let's review the fingers looking at the flute for D flat 1,2,3, thumb in the left hand. 1,2,3, and lower pinkie in the right hand. For some younger players this might be hard for you to get a sound out but keep trying since it is good to get all of your bases covered. Here is what it sounds like.
