How to Repair a Door Lock
If you find that your lock is not working properly, that it’s hard to turn, that it’s hard to insert or remove, it’s very simple to fix. What you want to do is you want to get a graphite pick - it contains graphite powder. And insert it into the lock and the keyhole. Squirt it a couple of times. That will coat the interior of the lock with graphite powder which will make the key a lot easier to turn, or to remove. Your problems will be solved.

You can get this at any home store, in the key department where they make keys for you. The one thing you want to avoid using is WD-40, because in time it will simply attract more dust and accumulate more gunk. Graphite powder is very cheap, and very effective.
