How to Add Acrylic Paints to Scrapbooks
Hi! I'm Stephanie. I'm here to talk about adding acrylic paint to your layouts. Acrylic paint you can also buy in the scrap booking store, but I suggest just going and looking in the paint aisle at the craft store. You can usually get bottles like this 5 for a dollar, which is really good. Acrylic paint dries really quickly so it's great for using in your pages. You can use it just like you would use ink. You can use it to edge the edges of your page or anything like that. It works well with metal. It'll change color. I don't like the color of this, so I want to change it to purple. You can buy foam brushes usually 5 for a dollar, which is how I would apply it. You just put a little bit of paint any kind of surface you want to use and use your foam brush. This is a brad, so I'm just going to hold the edge and just cover it up. You can put as much or little as you want. If you decide you want to distress once it dries, you can just scrape some of it off and you've changed the look of this metal look completely. Another thing that you can find right by the acrylic paint are usually these kind of foam stamps that are pretty cheap. A lot of people use these to decorate walls or things like that. They're easy to use. You just use a foam brush. Just very simply again. Just cover it all up as much as you can get every space done. Plop it down and you've got a neat kind of paint design. Like I said, you can see some of this area is already dry. Acrylic paint is great for that, which is a really good reason to use in your scrap book. It also comes in probably 60-80 different colors, so you're sure to find a color that's going to match what you're using. I use acrylic paint all the time and think that you should too.
