Hi! This is Stephanie. I'm here to talk about using findings in your scrap book pages. Findings is a term used to describe little pieces of metal that you can find in antique stores and things like that, that don't really have any purpose than that maybe they were ornamental on something at one time or another. For example, these are like little fan looking type of things. They might have been on some decorative lamp or something like that. Sometimes you can find little screens, neat little pieces that might have just been the edging on some antique sort of thing. You can see that it can be a neat little embellishment. You can paint it or just leave it as it is. It looks kind of distressed and cool. Little charms like this that are just a really pretty thing to add to a neat heritage page of maybe your grandmother, or anything like that. You can also find findings in something like an old oriental coin that are cute. These are old washers. Washers can be considered findings and things like that. You won't find them too commonly, but they're a neat little thing to use. They're a neat circle that you can decorate in the middle. You can find them in all different types. Findings can be painted or used as is. You can apply them with some metal glue or use glue dots. In this one, I just used glue dots. These are two little screens that I found. Once again, they don't overwhelm the page, but they add just a neat little thing. They don't necessarily go with the theme, but it doesn't have to be a themed item. They're just a sweet little embellishment to add that are going to one of a kind and that you're not going to find anywhere else. Look for some findings.
