Sewing in Scrapbooking

Hi this is Stephanie and I'm going to talk about sewing notions and how to add them to your scrap book. The sewing aisles are a neat way to find things. You can get different types of laces that are nice to add, various trims that would look good. A simple thing like a floss that you use in cross stitches is a good way to attach buttons or to sew on your page with. There are all kinds of different yarns and fibers that you can enhance your pages in many different ways. Also, little safety pins look really cute, little straight pins. How to use it here is a example of one that I did with both. I just put a straight pin in there. You do want to be careful cause it is going to point and be sharp so you don't want to you know have it sticking out just be careful to put it on your page and that you remember that it is there. Here is where I use a safety pin just to attach the ribbon and gives it a nice little sewing look and you know use various different fiber went down. This is just some knitting yarn that I use to put down to the tag and it just adds different kind of dimensions. Another sewing notion that I really like using is rickrack. Rickrack is wavy and kind of gives a neat look. Here is a page where I just showed you how to add to this page really quickly. You can run it through tape runners but it is not necessary to do that. I use an adhesive like this. Just put a couple little marks on the page and it will stick right to that. As you can see, it just kind of adds a little different look to the page, I"m going to put one right up here. It is just a visual interests and it gives it a total different look now what I had before. So I just add a ribbon up here and those are just different ways that you can use sewing notions so the skies the limit with it. It comes in all different styles and different colors and a great views on your pages.
