Measures 3 & 4 of a Bossa Nova Guitar Song in D Major

RYAN LARSON: Now, we're going to over on our second chord which an F 7, which we analyzed as the flat 3. So if we go up, 1, 2, 3, so to flat it we just bring it down the fret, and there's our new root. There's our flat 3, then it's the 7th chord. So we play our 7th chord voicing and we have our F7 chord, it's that easy. So if you recall the last chord, it was our E minor--or I mean F sharp minor and then our second chord is F. So now, we can just go back and forth between the two. Great practice. Notice how my pointer finger doesn't move at all, because minor to 7th. Minor, 7th, minor, 7th chord. So just by analyzing the actual chords as they compare to the D major scale, we've gone through our first two chords easy.
