Blues Piano Licks in Action
Hi. My name is Jonathan Wilson on behalf of Expert Village.com, and we're learning thirty must-have blues piano licks. We've actually made it through all thirty and we're going to use this clip to just kind of play through a number of the licks that we've talked about. We probably won't hit all thirty, but we'll take two choruses and just kind of go through in sequence and play a number of the licks that we went over and you can kind of hear them. When they run back to back like this, it actually makes a pretty neat solo. Of course, naturally, you'll want to take these and change them entirely and turn them into something else. Or rearrange the order or not use them. It's completely up to you. That's the whole spirit of this thing. But without further ado, here's two choruses, full speed with the band. And I'll just kind of play through these licks, starting at the beginning and skipping through pretty close to the end. Here goes. Alright. So, with a little bit of work, you've got enough material there to put together a decent two chorus solo and then some. So, take these things, make them your own. Practice them, change them, add to them, whatever you like. Thirty must-have blues licks. Stick around, there's three more clips in this series, which are really kind of an appendix. I've included three different speeds of the backing track as clips. So that if you can, if you want to, you can take those three different speeds and practice with them if you want to. They're in the key of C, regular C blues chord progressions, and you can go back through these things and practice with the band, if you want to. Thanks, I've enjoyed doing these and I will see you next time.
