Hi, my name is Jonathan Wilson on behalf of Expert Village.com, and in this series, we're going to learn thirty must-have blues piano licks. The first ten are pretty easy; the middle ten are more intermediate and the last ten are fairly challenging. For each one, I'll play it very slowly with a metronome and you'll have the music there so you can see the lick written down. Then, I'll come back and give you some tips or advice, maybe some physical techniques things that will help you get the hang of that particular lick. Or things to think about if you're playing it over a progression. Many times the lick will just be written for one particular chord and you'll just need to make natural adjustments to that chord if you're playing it over a four chord as opposed to a one chord. But then, each lick will be played over a full blues chorus with a backup band. I've got a backing track so that you can hear the thing in context up to speed, with a full band playing. And at the very end of this series, there will be one clip that lets you hear, I'll just take two choruses and play through a good number of the licks in this series so you can hear them all kind of put together in one demo. And then, there are three clips that are just the backing track, at three different speeds, that if you need to practice, you just got the music on your own. You can just take that and play along with it yourself. These things are in C, a nice easy piano key and that's where the entire notation is written. So, it should give you everything you need to learn thirty must-have blues piano licks. So, let's get started with the easy ones.
