TONY RAMIREZ: Hi, my name is Tony Ramirez and this is the high-definition movies and players. HD DVD menus, I find these to be the coolest menus. It's a great use of high-definition technology, of the space on a disc--it's really, really, really cool. The first thing you do is when you pop an HD DVD into your HD DVD player, the movie starts automatically. This is cool because, you know, of course if you're just ready to watch the movie, it actually goes on. Say you do want to start making changes, whether you want to change the audio, the subtitles, anything like that. With the HD technology by Microsoft--it's called high-definition interactive; everything is built-in to the movie. So, for instance, my movie is playing right now. I simply hit my menu button and it pops up in the bottom. This is really cool. Every single HD DVD has this built-in. Now, in these setting, I can go in and change anything that I want. As you see, a settings box just popped up. If I want to go through anything else, everything is interactive while you're watching the movie. Again, if you want to change the audio, whether to a different language, the subtitles, skip to a different scene, anything you want to do, you can do it while the movie is playing. I personally think this is pretty cool. Also, some other features that it has, is you can go in with the menus and actually bookmark stuff. Say you have a favorite scene at 10 minutes and 23 seconds. You simply click this bookmark thing and any time you want to show it off or anything, go back, press the menu, and it'll actually go there to your bookmark selections. So with HD DVD, I think that their menus are pretty cool compared to the Blu-ray, which is pretty much like a regular DVD. So in my bet, if you like just more interactive stuff, the making of, seeing everything while the movie's actually playing or adjust it while the movie's playing, this is a great way to do it with HD DVD in your HD DVD player.
