How to Dry Towels & Rugs When Doing Laundry

Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I am from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to do laundry. The process for drying your towels and rugs is the same no matter what color they are. So I am going to go ahead and just let you know using my colored towels and rugs. Now once you have pulled them out of the washer, you want to immediately put them into the dryer. Especially with colors, you don't want to let them sit for a long time because they will start to smell and you will have to start the process all over again. So I like to take my colored towels and rugs out of the washer and there are two options for drying them. There is the automatic dry with high heat. This on this dryer has a specific setting called towels which is great because this will apply the necessary amount of heat for the necessary amount of time and this takes the whole thinking process out of it for you. But you also have the time drying option just like with every other load. Your time drying always applies the high heat. Basically with towels and rugs, it is going to take the most amount of heat as possible because they are thicker materials. It takes a little bit longer than the rest of your clothing. So with time drying, you are most likely going to put them in for the longest load possible which is 60 minutes. You can come back and check your dryer so that your clothing is not in the dryer for long periods of time if it has already been dried. Some people like to have control how long it has been in there and they don't have to come back and forth and check it. So those are the options that you have. You have your time drying with high heat or your automatic dry with high heat on your towel setting. This will be the same for your white towels an rugs. There really isn't much of a difference. As long as they are towels and rugs, they are going to be dried the same.
