How to Wash Delicates When Doing Laundry

Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I am from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is how to do laundry. Here we have our delicate clothing. Now with delicates, it is going to take a little more thought as to how to wash and to carry for your delicate clothing. So as you can see here on the washer, there are a few settings for delicates. Now we have extra light, light and normal. If you have silk clothing that is really thin materials, there's would go into the extra light setting of your delicates. For light and normal, those are things that although they are delicate, they are not so sensitive that you have to put them in a really delicate cycle. We have our light delicates and our dark delicates. For delicate clothing, you want to wash them in cold water. This will help protect your clothing, it will help from the material being rubbed and for ruining them later. So those are the tips that you want to remember when washing your delicate clothes that you are going to use the same detergent as the rest of the clothes. But for delicates, if you don't use softener for the rest of your loads, you want to use them for your delicate clothing. These are most likely going to be dried differently later so you want to make sure they are going to be as soft as possible when they are out of the washer. That is how you care for your delicate clothes.
