Hi, I'm Bill Rogan along with Andy Cornell, and on behalf of Expert Village -- right now we're going to talk about tagging out runners. Use your imagination. This glove here is second base. Andy, my trusty sidekick, forgot to bring the bases, so we'll just use our imagination a little bit. It is important when you tag out a runner -- ball comes in -- put the glove down right before the base, let the runner slide in and tag himself out. Too often you see guys catch the ball and then go try to tag the runner, and a fancy slide, he misses the tag and the guy's safe. The runner has to get to the bag. Put the glove right in front of the bag, let him slide into it, tag himself out. Now, an important thing -- I learned this painful lesson when I was 15 years old -- you get the throw, get the tag down, get your arm out of there. Don't keep your hand there forever. I got spiked here one time -- blood was spurting out of my veins, it was an ugly situation in Princeton, New Jersey. So get the throw, get it down, get out.
