Syrian or Golden Hamster Life Span & Health

Hi! My name is Sarah and I work at Extra Care Animal Hospital. I am one of the technicians there. I am here at Petland in Pembroke Pines today to tell you a little bit about hamster care on behalf of Expert Village.com. Hamsters make wonderful pets. Unfortunately, they are one of the animals that have a shorter life span. The average hamster’s life span is anywhere from 2 and 3 years. An adult hamster’s average body is anywhere from a 100 to 150 grams. Male hamsters can breed at anywhere between 10 to 14 weeks of age, and female hamsters can breed at anywhere of 6 to 10 weeks of age. So it is very important that it you have more than one baby hamster, that you separate them from one another as soon as possible before you have an unwanted litter on your hands. If you would like any more information about the animal hospital that I work at, you can go to www.extracareanimalhospital.net, and if you would like anymore information about Petland in Pembroke Pines, you can go to www.petland.com.
