Utensils Needed for Pecan Pumpkin Pie Recipe

This is Mary Murphy and you are watching Expert Village. Now let's look at the utensils you will need to bake this pie. Make it and bake it. The utensils you will need is a rolling pin to roll out the crust when it is prepared. You will need measuring cups, a one cup and a half cup. You will need a pie plate. Either a glass pie plate or a ceramic pie plate. I prefer a ceramic pie plate. I think it makes for a much nicer crust. And I usually use a crust protectant, that when I've got it all made I put this on top of the crust to keep the crust from burning. You will need a bowl to mix your crust in and also your ingredients and a pastry cutter. You will need a blender if you like to make your pumpkin pie a real smooth texture. You can make it in a bowl if you don't have a blender. You will also need some measuring spoons for the spices that go in to the pie fillings. A knife helps to clean off the pastry cutter. A spoon to scrape out the seeds for the squash and then of course you need a good knife to cut through the squash. But, these would not be necessary if you are buying a can of pumpkin at the store.
