This is Joe Wiles, with the rock and roll conservatory, on behalf of Expert Village. We've gone over the five basic chords of the CAGED method. The C,A,G,B, and E. We've also explored the five different versions of those five chords. What that empowers you to do, as a guitar player, is that, well you see most beginning guitar players will stay below the first three frets, maybe the first five frets of the guitar, because that's like safe zone, a lot of open chords. What the CAGED method allows you to do, is play anyone of these chords all the way up the fret board. Now, as you will see ,if you read Bill Edward's book, Fret Board Logistics, there are scales that go along with every chord form, so not only are you playing across the entire neck ,with all your chords, but you also have the scales right there as you are playing them. I'd encourage you to join me, for step three, in which we're going to go over some sequences, putting these chord forms up the neck together. I'll see you then, I hope.
