Playing Versions 1 & 2 of an A Chord on Guitar

Hi. This is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory for Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to talk about the first two versions of an "A" chord. The first is an easy one - it's your "A" chord which you know well. Now we have to apply the rules of the CAGED method. We're going to go to the highest fret we're currently fretting, in this case it's the second fret. You want to bar that, and then play the next chord form in the CAGED sequence. After "A", comes "G" - "C", "A", "G". We'll play a "G" chord form here, (playing chord) and that plays an "A" chord, with a "G" form. In the next segment, we're going to talk about the next two versions of an "A" chord. I'll see you then.
