Hi, my name is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to teach you how to play an E chord. For the E chord you're going to use all six strings from your lowest to your highest. it's formed, you use your index finger on the first fret of the G string. You're going to use your middle finger on the second fret of the A string and your ring finger on the second fret of the D string. When you strum them all together they should be clear and crisp like this. If it doesn't sound crisp and clear when you first play it, I want you to keep at it and keep adjusting your fingers so that it will ring out clearly. Don't get disappointed. Playing guitar at first can be a little frustrating and I want you to get through that and get to expressing yourself. In the next segment we're going to talk about the last chord you need to know. The D chord. I'll see you there.
