Questions & AnswersOn behalf of Expert Village, I'm Terry. And today I'm going to show you how to use a hand held grinder. Any of these grinders you see laying here, you can buy at your local box discount store. Or your local large home warehouse or hardware store. You can also buy them on line. You want to look for the ones that have the safety features on the triggers. These here don't. I ordered these through a catalog. I won't be ordering these again. These run about $25.00, $27.00. You don't really need to get them services once the burn up and go out. It's not that much more to buy another one. It would cost you more to have it serviced. These, you can find parts for these actually just about any where. At your local harbor freight store or there's usually power tool stores. You might even be able to even get replacement parts off of your local auto body and repair shop. Local tool vendor. I've gotten them off of there before. But there are shops that will repair. But these, I really don't think that they're worth spending the money to have them repaired. They'll cost you about $50.00 bucks to get them repaired. When you can just buy them brand new for $30.00. With technology, they keep getting cheaper every day. They do have bigger grinders then these. They're basically the same style, but they're about twice the size. And those are for like really really big heavy steel. Like you would see on building skyscrapers and high rises and things of that nature. Bridges. They don't use these smaller grinders on them because they just won't last as long.
