Creating a New Project in iMovie

Hey everybody. My name is Matt and I am speaking to you here on behalf of Expert Village. All right when you start up iMovie you?re going to be presented with a splash screen. It looks something like this. First thing that you?re going to want to do is start a new project. So come over here and click ?create a new project?, and if you?re gonna need to give your project t a name. I?ll name mine ?iMovie?. And you?re going to need to select where you want to save it. So I?ll save mine up the on my desktop. And down here it says video format. You?ve got a couple of options here. It?s gonna default to iSight but if you want better quality you can click ?DV?. Or if you want to go high def you can select either H VD 1080i or 720p. I am just gonna select DV for now and go down to the bottom right and click ?create?. And it?s going to load up iMovie for you. And this is your standard inner face. Down here you can see you?ve got your play and rewind button and you?ve got two main time line. Which you can drag your play head around. And if you come up to the top you can select ?file? and from here you can open your projects, different projects and save them as well. And you can also undo, redo, cut and paste from your edit menu. Which you should be familiar with. But this is your main interface for iMovie.
