Alright, the next shot that we're going to do is the George Mican Shot or the Kareem Abdoul Jabaar Shot, the Hook Shot. This is good practice even if you're not a Center, if you're not playing the Center position. Even if you're a Guard, Small Forward, Off Guard. Practice this drill because it's going to give you a couple of things other than the shot. It's going to give you eye coordination, hand coordination, a better sense of balance. What you'll want to do is you'll want to start on the block, on either side of the lane, whether you're doing right handed or left handed. And you can do it a couple of different ways: if you're on the block this way with your back to the basket, you can come towards the middle with your right hand hook, or you can come towards the baseline with the left hand hook. The reason they call it a hook shot is because you're coming, it's not a regular shot like this, but instead, it's one hand, usually you can guide it a little bit, but you're coming around this way, from around the back of your body in either direction. So, the left handed hook shot. The left handed hook shot. Or we can spin through the middle. So, you're bringing it out from around your body into the middle. There's your hook shot.
