Alright let's talk about set shot. Obviously we are a little bit passed beginner where we know what are set shots are and jump shots are. We are basically set, we are not jumping off the floor for the shoot. But basically everything else is the same; your feet are shoulder width a part, your knees are bent in that ready position. In that balance position or in the triple threat that we talked about. You are going to use the set shoot in instances where maybe the defender is way off, maybe you got open somehow you come around a screen and you have the ball. It is a couple of seconds where you are not really so much defended and you really don't need to do a jump shoot to either waste energy or it is just not necessary. Yet you are close enough to the basket where you are going to be able to basically flick your wrist without jumping off the ground and using your legs to push that ball further. Because you are behind the three point line so I made a such shot and we are looking and we are just shooting. So the set shots are effectively where you are not being defended cause obviously if you have a defender around you with a set shoot they are going to be able to possible block that shoot. So set shoots nice, easy, flick of a wrist, anywhere from fifteen feet or so you are just doing a quick snap and shooting.
