How to Hand Diffuse Curly Hair

This is Amelia Smith on behalf of Expert Village, I will be talking about the care and styling of curly hair. Now I'm going to actually use my hand instead of a diffuser and that's going to get me a little bit closer to the scalp and also I'm really going, really to be able to get in there and create those curls and lift that off that scalp, and I'm going to do that by blocking the air with my hand and using my finger like I would, with a finger diffuser. I'm keeping the air in on low and then on warm heat, and occasionally I'm hitting that cool button and this is your cool button right here, and what that does is that turn the temperature down on the dryer so that sets that curl in. And I go back and fourth between the warm air and the cool shot. "Hot tip" this is when you would move your head around and just tilt your head to the side Lauren. And this is going to give you again more volume and more range of motion with your hair. To the other side, you can really use that on, use your finger on the scalp, and really twist it around just got a little like knot going. She'll be able to get that out.
