Hi, my name is Nicole and today we’re talking about the basics of making jewelry and wire wrapping, and right now I just want to show you some of the finished products that I’ve made and how I went about making them. This a choker made from fired glass, and basically, it’s not so much wire wrapping as making links and just using a thicker wire and interlocking it to make a nice choker. This is a triple strand wire wrap, also mixed with chain which you can buy at a local store. And you see I used the chain to lengthen some of the strand instead of just using beads. I also used a mixture of beads including pearls, smoky cords and some faceted beads as well. This is a pair of earrings that I made with a mixture of chain and small beads. And basically I used headpins instead of wire so that each bead is attached to a chain. This is a variety of pearls. They’re all fresh water and some of them are colored. Valley beads and different shapes and sizes of pearls. And this is the faceted garnet which I made with wire wrapping. And basically it makes a very easy, elegant necklace. And these are just a few samples of the varieties of necklaces and earrings that you can make with the wire wrapping technique.
