Buying in Bulk to Green Your House

Well, we're going to talk about how to save money on your organic foods by buying in bulk. So what we have here is. My husband and I love granola. However when we go to the store and buy it. It comes in these boxes that's really wasteful in the terms of packaging and it is also expensive. If you pull the bag all the way out it is sometimes halfway full. What we decided to do is that we started shopping in bulk. What we found is I can buy a lot more of the granola at a cheaper price and it also saves on packaging. This is organic. This looks like it has some flat seeds in it. it also has hemp. Hemp has a lot of protein an amazing amount f protein. I was never really big in the hemp and I don't know where I discovered it in terms of my food. Once I tasted this me and my husband loved it. It's good for your body. It's also in lotions and creams. That's good I?m going to have to try them. So what I do is just bring it home and I take my scupper and I store it in my ceramic container. This will easily last up to two weeks. We've probably saved at least two to three dollars on buying bulk cereal. Lets address what you do with recycling with this bag. And how you can get the most out of recycling this bag. In terms of recycling I reuse my bags when I bring them home. Honestly I really would like to cut down on the amount of plastic I bring into my home because plastic is not healthy for the environment. I would use it to put all my scrapes into a big pile. Then I would put it in my recycling bend because my city does recycle these bags or I?ll use it as a trash bag as well. I?ll use it in my bathroom or somewhere else around the house. I make sure this ends up in the recycling bend because my city does recycle. That is an excellent tip. Bring your own bag because that cuts down on the plastic. All this plastic everywhere ends up in our oceans. Ends up with the birds eating it and if you bring your own bag the store will give you a few cents toward your grocery bill. I usually take the brown bag and fold it and leave it in the back of my car. And when I go to the store I take it out of my trunk and it's so convenient. And you save money on your grocery bill.
