Using Smart Albums in Aperture

BRANDON SARKIS: My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'll be showing you how to use Apple's Aperture program for the Mac. Next up is smart albums. I touched on this briefly earlier, but we're going to go back to it. So we're going to start a new one. So, we're going to come over here and we're going to select this little purple book with a [INDISCERNABLE] we're going to click. And it's going to open up down here into an untitled smart album. So here we have the smart album. So I'm going to click on this little magnifying glass and it's going to have my settings. So I can say match any of the following settings. So, let say anything, my rating is greater or equal to 3 stars. Actually we called it 2 stars. Which shows us nothing, so I'm going to undo that one. I click on calendar and I can show anything that was taken during the month of - like these photos - this set was taken on August. I'm going to click between August 1st and August 31st. or I can click on particular day or I can click on the range of dates. I can go to import session is on or more of the following. I can click on that and it shows me which camera sets, so I click on that one. I'll ignore stat groups and I'll go through my calendar and say okay, 7/24, so anything on 7/24- now with any photo this 7/24 from any of - anything on that project is going to fall onto this so. It's a good way of breaking up your projects in much smaller pieces.
