O'kay so we have just finished making that lovely vegetable platters with all those lovely colors. Now we want to make a dip to go on the side. Now the thing about dips is that they are so bad for you sometimes. They can kind of nullify vegetable eating anyway. This dip a lot of people say oh this can't be good it has to be bad for you but believe it or not it is and what I have done it is just two really simple ingredients, hardly a recipe. It is fat free sour cream and I am going to add the secret ingredient, onion soup mix. Depending on how oniony you really want it, listen to my technical cooking vocabulary and just in a bowl like that. You will find that this dip actually gets better if you let it sit. Normally the onion soup would be in water and it would make soup mix, instead of absorbing the water that is in the sour rather it absorbs the water that is in the sour cream so it gets more flavorful. I am just going to put this in a little bowl alongside and there now you can feel really good about having your vegetables. If you want to just sort of pair it up and have your vegetable platter, dip, fruit platter and dip, why not try some fat free yogurt, strawberry or raspberry, those are my two favorites. I am going to bring these to the table.
