Making Proscuitto & Melon Holiday Party Appetizers

Hi, I'm Marieve Herington for Expert Village and today we are going to be doing some easy holiday entertaining. We are first going to start with some very simple procuitto and melon and it is party food even though it is all so simple. We, unless you lived in Italy I doubt you are going to be having proscuitto everyday. So we are going to start as you can see I started some here I got these very very thinly sliced ham and peel it back very gently otherwise it is going to fall to a million little pieces. Cut to the width that you would like so I want it to just circle around where it deeps on the melon right there. I would like it a little bit shorter and that is just if you just wrap it like that around and fasten it with a little toothpick. Now you can do larger pieces if you like as well but since these are going to be passed hors-d'oeuvre you want something that your guest can easily pick up and bite into and I think you would find that this sweet melon and the salty ham is just a perfect combination.
