How to Read & Write Blues Piano Scales in B Flat (Bb) Major

So now we're going to go over our basic written down form. So if we take a look here at our chart we start on our one chord. Which is our B flat seven and play four four measures. Then we go to our four chord, E flat, seven, two measures back to one, B flat. Then our five, four, one and that is your basic blue scales. So you play your one chord for four bars, your four chords for two bars, then back to your one chord for two bars. Then you have your five, four, then one chord for two bars so it's really split into three sections. Your first section which is your four chord and if you have vocals over it usually your first line is set here, then you repeat that line on your second half and you have your four chord going to your one chord. Then you have the answer to that line on your third system which is your five, four to one, so my baby left me she's been using my car and you say that again my baby left me, she's been leaving in the car she took it out to Las Vegas and now I'm with a girl from the afar. That is your last line so we'll go through and play that form. (playing piano) And that's the blues.
