On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Terry and today I'm going to show you how to use a welder. This is a stick welder. This is the electrode. This is called the stinger and this is the grounding climber. I'm using an 8th inch rogner sew set. Right about 75 amps and see if that det well, this format and see if it doesn't form there. And have it on positive polarity. My electrodes are hooked in, they're tight. Now on placing your electrodes in your stinger or your rod holder, your electrode holder, whatever you want to call it. You have some little grooves that will hold it at a 45 degree angle for you. You just clip it in there and it'll fall right into place and it'll stay or you can go with a 90 or you can go with a hundred and eighty degrees where if you're needing to reach down low and get to something or go overhead. This is also good for overhead welding. What a lot of welders like to do is put it in that one and turn it like this so that this handle is out of your way, it's on top, so now you can twist back and forth, go anywhere you need to go and this handle is not hitting on your work. So now I'm going to, I'm going to weld a little bit with this. That's a 60 10 rod. What a also rate that is, just kind of pulling it along but I'm also pushing in and when the flux starts to cover it up and my ark ones disappeared, I'll pull it back out and I go forward and I push it back in then go forward then I push it back in. And that's the way you want to work 60 10 depending on the material tech that's on your application.
