RYAN LARSON: Now, we're going to do some reggae on the bass and we're going to just play it between the triads of each root. So, if we start on the 1, we have 1-3-5 and just right in the scale, 1-3-5. Then, we go to 4. We have 4-3-5, and it's the same scale pattern, 1-3-5. It's a triad. Now, if we want to go to minor, we have 1-3-5. So, there's your minor triad. So, we're going to go through and play 5 to 1, 4-3-2-1. So, there are a couple of simple ideas for playing the reggae. Just take those triads and really, it's the space you put behind it and the oomph you get out of your bass in there that really gives it that sound.
