RYAN LARSON: Now, we're going to explain the ii which comes out of B flat which is C minor. Now, if you'll look at our intervals again, remember these are the open strings here and these are your fret markings, 1st fret, 2nd fret, 3rd fret, 4th fret. And we started at 1 but if you make 2 the root, you get your minor scale and you have 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, and then your last two is on the 5th fret on the top string which I'll show you visually. But you can walk through and that's your C minor scale. This is B flat, so you have B flat. Here's C, and it just goes up. And it is the same scale pattern except now you're using 2 as the root. So, it has a minor quality to it and we're going to hear how that sounds right now. So, we start right here on our 2 and we go up to the 5th fret near the 2nd dot there. There's a little bebop. And that's your ii minor or your C minor chord at the B flat major. We just stand that same pattern and just do some nice walking.
