RYAN LARSON: So, now we're going to analyze the first four measures of our tune. It's an 18-measure tune. So, you want to go through and write 18 measures down, four on each line, the last line will be two. If you don't have manuscript paper, you can just use regular paper, blank paper and just make bar lines. So, you have your measures here. And we start with G minor for two measures and we're in the key of G, so that's our i minor. So, even though it's not a major chord, we'll still going to analyze it in G and I'll show you that scale too, we have to alter the scale a little bit. We'll do that when we play through it. So, that's our i minor, so put a lowercase Roman numeral there, i minor. Now, we have B flat so we got G, A, B, so that should be our iii chord but it's flatted so we have to make it a flat 3. So, it's a flat 3 minor. Again, we'll go through and show you how to walk through all these but right now, we're just finding how to find them out of that major scale. So, we got i minor, iii minor.
