An Advanced Bass Guitar in G

RYAN LARSON: So, today we're going to go through the key of G [PLAYS G MAJOR SCALE PATTERN] but what we're really doing is learning this major scale pattern, and we're going to learn the minor scale that goes with it as well, and we'll going through and show you those as we go through, but what's really important is you get that major scale down and we're going to go through and show you all the different notes that come out of that major scale, so now you can take this information and when you go to read a real book tune in the key of G, one sharp, key of G has one sharp, you can go through and find out what all the bass notes are and how they fall on the bass as they compare to the root of G. So, what this would really do is give you an overview of how to find notes out of a scale and then we're going to go through how to walk through them or how to play simple Latin bass over these chord changes.
