Walking Through Section A Measures to Play a B Flat Scale

RYAN LARSON: So now we've gone through the A section of "Mack the Knife" and we're going to walk it on the bass and I'm going to walk through a couple of times just repeating it so you can really see that pattern. So if you zoom it on my hands here, we start on the I for eight beats right? I, ii-V, ii-V, I, I, ii-V, ii-V, I. Again, I, ii-V, ii-V, I. Again, I used a couple of chromatic notes in there but I stayed basically in this B flat major scale. So feel free to use some non-harmonic notes but as long as you stay within the realm of that scale, it will all sound good.
