Measures 3-4 in a Jazz Bass D Major Scale

RYAN LARSON: Now we're going to move on to our 3rd and 4th measures of our bebop blues. So we played our I to our IV chord and now we come back to our I chord for a whole measure and then we play iii and vi for two beats each. So you got your I chord and then you got iii for beat--two beats and vi for two beats. There's a number of ways you can play this, you can start I, iii-vi, and we're going to land on two on the next chord or you can start up high in this one, so I, iii--alright I, iii-vi, I, iii-vi, I, iii-vi, I, iii-vi, I. So go through and really get that pattern down and just go on from your iii to your vi and then we're going to land on our ii on our next chord. So I'm going to walk the whole first bars now. So we got I, IV, I, iii-vi, ii. So go through and get all those different chords down.
