Measure 2 in a Jazz Bass D Major Scale

RYAN LARSON: So now we've gone through our first measure and we come to our second measure, this G7 which is our IV7 right? D, E, F, G and we have to walk for another whole four beats and then we go back to our I major chord. So this is a good opportunity to practice just walking from one to four. So we have IV right here, right? So again IV, I, IV, I some chromatic notes in there IV, I, IV, I, IV, I, IV, I chromatic notes IV, I, IV, I IV, I and you can just do this for hours and just start perfecting your bag of tricks and really get that D major scale under your fingers. And well you can walk it this way too where our four is down here right IV, I, IV, I, IV, I, IV, I. So go through it and really get that scale under your fingers as we go through and start walking through D major.
