RYAN LARSON: So now we walk through our first couple of measures here and we went I to IV and now we're back at I again. So we got I for four beats, IV for four beats, I for four beats, and then we have V to IV--V to I, so v minor IV. So I'm going to go through and walk through the scale again and I'm just going to count out the actual pitch that I'm landing on as I go through it. So I'll start on I, I got I, IV, I, V-I. So now if we look at my hands as we do that, I started right here at one right I, IV, I, V-I. Now I can start on the top of the scale and do that too I, IV, I, V-IV and then we're leading into our V-I and we're leading into IV. So again, you want to start on the interval or note where you start again. So for an E over here, A is here and B minor is here. So we go I, IV, I, IV--or V-I to IV. And we'll go through and get the rest of the form under our fingers as we go through and play our bebop blues.
