RYAN LARSON: So now, we have our second measure. So went from our E7 or our I7 to our IV7, right? Our A7, so we walked right into the [PLAYS BASS LINE] and now, you just stay on the same scale and you can just walk [PLAYS BASS LINE]. Right, I went [PLAYS NOTE "A"] so if we state our note degrees that went 4-5-6-7-1 and that's probably right back to the 1 where I have to beat again on the next part, right? It goes IV7 back to I7, so I just walked [PLAYS BASS LINE]. But really, you do any notes inside the scale as long as you land on the next chord that you're aiming for, so if I start at A again and walk, right? [PLAYS BASS LINE] Now I'm there, I can get there this way too [PLAYS BASS LINE] but I can get this way [PLAYS BASS LINE]. So as long as you start here and then start there on the next measure, anything that you can get in between to get to there is really gold. So we're walking from the A back into the E and that's our second chord out of our bebop blues.
