RYAN LARSON: So we're back to our first four measures and now we come to our fifth measure which is our 4-7 again and we're just going to walk our 4-7 and then you notice we have a sharp 4 diminished and we're utilizing the same G major scale but now we're just going to put our C sharp as our root there and I'll show you how it works. Really this is a passing tone but to get to diminished scale all we have to do is start on C sharp and outline the same major scale and we'll get what we're going for. So we're going to start right here and show you. So we have--here's our 4 chord, right? So I got 4, sharp 4 and it's going into 1 again or you could do it a couple of different ones you go 4. But what you really want to do is make sure you go from this root to this root and still stay in the same pattern. So, it would be like--or you can do it like--so there's all these different ways but what you're really doing is going from your root here, root there and still staying in the same scale. And that's a run through of our C7 and C sharp diminished--half diminished scales.
