CASEY CORMIER: Okay. So we just looked at playing a chromatic note in open position on or first position on our bass on the E string. Now, we can do that on all the strings. So just a little review here, remember on E we had E, F, F sharp, G, we're going to do A flat there, we going to jump a little bit for that one though. Our thumb is still behind, pointing out. We got A now, A sharp or B-flat, B, C, C sharp or D flat. So this will be like the 4th fret right here on the A string. Now D, D sharp or E flat, E, F, F sharp or G flat, then G, G sharp or A flat, A, this we're not using our third finger, D flat, B and this will be a C. So we actually use our fourth finger twice, that seemed weird, but if we try to use our third finger, while it might work if we had to play things fast that would be a jumble. It's easier to use just these three, one, two and three, and thus we get up to the places where the intervals are closer together.
