My name is Leslie Moselle, and I'm from Tampa Florida, and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to shop for groceries on a budget. Purchase items that have multiple purposes. The great way to stretch your money when shopping on a budget is to purchase items that can be used for many different meals. See here we have your can soups. Can soups, although you can enjoy them just as the soup, these can also be used for great dinner meals that you may not have known. As you can see on the back of the labels they usually actually have recipes on the back of the Campbell soup labels that will give you specific ideas for chicken dishes, or different dishes that you can use the soup for without just enjoying it on its own. Tuna, tuna of course its a classic. You can make a tuna sandwich, tuna salad, tuna casserole, these items go a long way. Pasta and rice, as you know, you can make a lot of dishes with pasta and rice. Rice was a staple in my household. You can eat it every day, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Rice could be stretched to its maximum. Pasta's great. You can make macaroni, you can make spaghetti, there are so many different meals you can make with these items. If you really want to get your money's worth when shopping on a budget, shop smart, buy items that can be used in many different ways, that way you're not buying five different items for one dish that you'll never use again. So be smart and shop smart when shopping on a budget.
