Hi I'm Doug. I work with 20 great guys in St. Louis at Dough Jenkins Custom Hotrods. And we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now Alex has made a small piece to fill in the gap that he had to create in order to get the trunk floor to fit the available hole. The trunk floor looked too short so he had to make it longer. So he's made this piece here to fill in the gap. Now if money were no object that piece would be made exactly to fit inside the available gap. If you look carefully, you can see that the piece Alex has made overlaps underneath. Most of the work you do in restoration is balance and cost in quality. Sure it would be great to custom make a piece that fits in there perfectly, but we've chosen to overlap this piece on the bottom side where it won't bother anyone in order to save probably an hours worth of labor. Now Alex is installing the klinkos to hold this piece in place so he can weld it all in.
