Hello! My name is Helen Terry and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to be showing you some tips about the Nia technique, which is a great holistic fitness program, which is also great for personal development. So, I am going to give you an introduction to Nia. Nia is the high powered energizing workout that gives you a new body and a new life through some very simple movements. Nia has been around for over 20 years. It is really getting popular now. We combine martial arts and dance arts with healing arts to have a full systemic body experience that is not only a physical workout but it works out your mind, your emotions and your spirit. And I have been doing Nia for about 14 years now. I was an aerobics instructor before I came to Nia. I was really getting burnt out and I was bored with what I was doing, already my body starts to react and said I do not want to do this anymore. So, just by chance all right, where you think it was just meant to be. I discovered the Nia technique with the creators of Nia, Debby Roses and Carlos Roses and the first time I took the class I just knew it was what I was meant to do first of all I thought it looked a little weird and seemed a little strange because it was so different from what I had seen in fitness, but it is so wonderful, I invite anyone who is curious just come and experience it because for me even though I was a little cautious as soon as I got into it and I experienced Nia it is something that fed my soul as well as my body I do not show up to do Nia because I think I should exercise. I show up because I enjoy the experience and I just want to come back for more and then the rest of my life is really much richer from the experience with Nia and that I have more energy and then also I sleep better at night.
