Hello. My name is David Gelber. I represent the Hilo Ultimate Frisbee Community and I'm here to do a little talk on ultimate frisbee on behalf of Expert Village. In many towns you'll find ultimate played in various leagues and the leagues are generally formed by different groups or different individuals who want to promote the game of ultimate, maybe get a little more serious than your typical pick up game. And the leagues can range in size from two teams to hundreds of teams. In the Northwest, the United States there's, I believe some leagues with several hundred teams participating in any given league. The leagues are played, can be played for co-ed leagues, just regular men?s' or women?s' leagues, it's just up to the imagination of the people who are putting the league on. League play is fun. It can be very competitive or as arduous as you like to play. If you are joining a league, typically you're expected to contribute a little bit of money to the overall set up of the league. Your money might go towards shirts, it might go towards a party at the end of the league, and generally speaking the leagues are a lot of fun and it's a good way to meet people, and build friendships, and improve your ultimate skills. Here in Hilo, Hawaii, we have a league that takes place about once every other month. Generally we get about between two and four teams that participate in our league play.
