Ultimate Frisbee Rules

Hello. My name is David Gelber. I represent the Hilo ultimate Frisbee community and Im here to do a little talk on an ultimate Frisbee on behalf of Expert Village. Now theres many other rules to follow. One is that there is no contact of course being in competitive sport this eventually going to be some inadvertent contact. Thats when the self officiating nature of Ultimate Frisbee comes into affect. By me, by saying self officiating. Everybody calls their own fouls or if youre a good spirited person you?ll call the foul on yourself. If you do in fact break the rules of non contact. If a foul was called then the Frisbee will go back to where the event infraction occurred and everybody sets up again and the play will restart again. There is also no picks allowed. So you cant place your body in the path of an oncoming player to impede their progress towards the Frisbee. Theres also rules involved with scoring. If you catch the Frisbee in the end zone thats1point. If you catch the Frisbee thrown by another player and youre on the line that wouldn?tt count. Youd have to step back out of the end zone and then make another play and then catch the Frisbee in the end zone with both feet. Once you catch the Frisbee while youre running. You cannot run anymore. You have to basically stop. Establish a pivot foot and on your pivot foot you move back and forth to try and thrown your Frisbee around your defender. Those are pretty much the rules in a nutshell.
